Life coaching is a goal setting support service that enables you to change aspects of your life for the better in a structured and realistic way.
The aim of life coaching is to help you to identify key aspects of your life that you would like to change. This will involve the use of goal setting to achieve changes in your life, learning relaxation techniques to help you cope with the stresses of daily life and getting back in touch with your values. Part of life coaching includes imporving health and fitness as well as general wellbeing.
Life coaching helps to teach individuals practical skills that they can use in their everyday lives. It is helpful if you are experiencing relationship problems or self-esteem. Brain Injury Support
I specialise in supporting families of those with an acquired brain injury. If you have a spouse, sibling, parent or child, or even a close friend with a brain injury and you are struggling to cope, I provide a tailored service for your needs. This approach involves psycho-education, trauma therapy and aspects of family therapy dependent on the needs of the individual or family as a whole.
Walk and talk therapy
Some people find the idea of sitting in therapy difficult. For those individuals I offer a "walk and Talk" approach which allows people to discuss their issues while keeping physically active and getting in touch with nature. These walks allow you to explore the local footpaths on the Somerset levels and discuss your issues with me along the way. Engaging with nature and keeping fit are fundamental components to improving psychological well being. Please note these sessions are only available at weekends over the winter and evening and weekends during the spring and summer.
